Mick Collier Monday, plenary session - 4.30m - 6.15pm : Chair - Roots and Shoots My name is Mick Collier and I am currently Chair of The Vegetarian Society of the United Kingdom. My wife and I became vegetarian 14 years ago following concerns on health and animal welfare. My background is in finance and business improvement but I left work two years ago to pursue interests in the voluntary sector. My main interests are the environment, gardening (I have been an organic gardener for 20 years) and education (including cookery demonstrations at primary schools).
