For bookings made by 30th September 1998 the following prices are offered: Full board from lunch on 4th January to lunch on 10th January 1999 at the five-star LOTUS HOTEL Pang Suan Kaew, Chiang Mai, including drinks and special banquets. All rooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms, but deluxe rooms include a sitting room designed in the traditional Lanna Thai style. Standard Rooms (Huay Kaew Wing), Including all meals (for the whole week!): Single $315 Double $215 per person Three-bedded room $190 per person. Deluxe Rooms (Doi Suthep Wing), Including all meals (for the whole week!): Single $425 Double $270 per person. Three-bedded room: $245 per person Sharing can be arranged by IVU if requested. Rooms will be allocated in order of booking: if necessary, alternative accommodation of a similar standard will be provided next to the congress venue. Early booking is strongly advised as rooms will be held for a limited period only and must be booked well in advance. Cheaper accommodation, starting from approx. $13 to $20 per person, is also available within walking distance of the Lotus Hotel at budget hotels and guest houses in the area. If taking this option, please include accommodation deposit of $50 per person with your booking, plus 50 per cent. of other charges (registration fee and cost of meals required. - Lunches and dinners cost $8, and drinks served during coffee breaks $2) Optional Excursions During the Congress: Wednesday January 6: Half day tour to Doi Suthep Temple, Puping Palace and Mong Hill Museum and Village, $20 Thursday January 7: Whole day or half day tours: 1. Full day excursion to Bo-Sang umbrella and handicraft village, visiting the Orchid and Organic Farms, Queen Sirikit National Botanical Park, Maerim and Maesa Waterfalls, $30 2. Half day City Tour, visiting the Wat Phra Sing Temple and other historic sites, $20 3. Half day tour to Doi Suthep Temple, Puping Palace and Mong Hill Museum and Village, $20 The congress registration fee payable will be $125 until 30th September 1998, $150 thereafter. 50 per cent. of total charges should be paid on booking, the balance by December 10th or on arrival in Thailand. In case of cancellation before 31st October a refund of 80 per cent. of deposit will be made. Thereafter up to 50 per cent. may be refunded at the discretion of the organisers. Optional One Day Stopover in Bangkok: Congress participants arriving in Thailand on January 3rd 1999, wishing to visit Bangkok before flying to Chiang Mai, may request an optional one day stopover at a nearby airport hotel.
