'Vegetarianism is the Way'
an unforgettable visual, cultural and gastronomic experience

Coby & Hans Siegenthaler. Born and raised in the Netherlands. We were both fortunate that our parents raised us as vegetarians. We are vegan since about 15 or 20 years. Coby is an RN (registered nurse); Hans is a chemical engineer.

In 1955 we emigrated to the USA and have lived ever since in Los Angeles. We like camping, skiing and had a 25 ft sailboat for 19 years. We enjoyed sailing to the off-shore islands in the Pacific Ocean. On the July 4 holiday we took a lot of members of a vegetarian society for a couple of rides on the ocean. We traveled a lot throughout the world; a lot via youth hostels.

We are active in defending animals and participate in many marches. We support anti-vivisection, Last Chance for Animals, animal sanctuaries, anti-hunting groups, anti-fur march, Nature of Wellness (who produced a wonderful video "Lethal Medicine", shown on many TV stations),etc. Two times we had/have a vegan foreign exchange student living with us. We had a lot of vegan or vegetarian visitors staying with us. We attended the international vegetarian conference in Ulm (Germany) in 19.., and in The Hague (Netherlands) in 1994 and several ones in the US. Everyone should at least once in their lifetime attend a vegan conference; they are so invigorating!

Children: a daughter and a son. From the son we inherited an antique automobile, a 1929 Whippet (built by Willys-Overland), which we recently drove in a parade. Now I try to sell it (with a lot of spare parts).

So long, in Thailand.
