How to Live be a Centernarian - on Sunday January 10th 1999

My personal, self-taught, experience has led me to conclude that the three main factors that can have an influence on one being able to live a long and healthy life are genetics, self-care and moral and ethical conduct. Exercise, diet and state of the mind are the essential 'food' for the body. If we take these types of food properly they will give us the three kinds of fitness that are essential to our total well being: antioxidant fitness, physical fitness, and immune fitness. I advocate prevention, rather than cure.

Medicines will never make people live longer and healthier. Today's illnesses are caused by incorrect ways of living: improper eating, living and lifestyle. Over 80% of diseases nowadays are related to the mind; they are not caused by bacteria or viruses or parasites. They are illnesses with no germs. Medicines can only reduce their symptoms and cannot get rid of the root causes. My experience has taught me that truth must come from practicing what you learn. You need to be diligent and practice regularly to develop full fitness. You must also have faith in what you have committed yourself to do as well. You must think positively and think that you will succeed, then you will be able to live healthily for over 100 years.
