Agenda of the General Meeting
FROM 25TH AUGUST TO 9TH SEPTEMBER 1979 Member Society Progress Reports and Regional Reports will be read on Thursday 30th August between the hours of 14.30 to 18.00 hrs. These reports should cover the interval from the last Congress to the present and Member Societies are asked to select one spokesperson and be brief (about 3 minutes) or 1 page each except for regional readings which can run to 2 pages unless of course the speaker in covering more than one society. If time permits Associate Member Societies will be invited to speak and those countries that have no representation may also be covered if anyone of that nationality is present. Alphabetical order for speaking will be used (see Member Society subscription sheets). Congress participants may sit in on the I.V.U. A.G.M. on the morning of Wednesday 29th August but only I.V.U. Officers and those who have been made official delegates by Member Society letter may vote (according to the quotas laid down in Clause 20 of the I.V.U. Constitution. It would be appreciated if the first 4 rows of seats are kept free for I.V.U. Officers and official delegates at these meetings in order to facilitate vote counting. Voting by proxy is possible (see Clause 21 if a member society does not have sufficient official delegates present, up to a maximum of 3 votes per individual)

RESOLUTIONS:- (see attached sheet) Clause 8 of Constitution. CONGRESS VENUE: Both Montreal and Hamburg have been put forward so far for 1981 although Latin America and Japan are still valid from last Congress.
