The work of the Society commenced in February when Mr. Taylor gave
limelight lectures on Vegetarianism at Bute Hall, Oxford Street
Chapel. and St. Andrew's Hall; and Dr. Oldfield at the Town Hall,
Hove.
In December, Mr. R. F. O'Callaghan gave limelight lectures in Oxford
Street Chapel, Town Hall, Hove, and St. Andrew's Hall, Brighton.
Several local reunions and conferences of members and friends have
been held papers read and discussed. Literary and Debating Societies
attended by request, and the subject of food reform oiseussed. The
meetings have beer well reported in the local papers.
