ANNUAL REPORT 1897
DUNDEE VEGETARIAN SOCIETY.
President:
Mr. W. G. CAMERON, 61, Arbroath Road, Dundee.
Vice. President:
Mr. R. C. BUIST, M.D., Annileld House, Dundee.
Hon. Secretary:
Mr. DANIEL HAMILTON, 76, High Street, Dundee.
Treasurer:
Mr. JOHN ANNAL, 337, Loons Road. Dundee.
Committee:
Mr. J. F. DONALDSON. : Mr. J. D. McMILLAN.
Mr. W. M. SCOTT. : Mr. ALEX. BELL.
Our Society have been strengthened by the addition of one or two
active and aggressive members, notably Mr. William Bell, a prominent
local Good Templar. Enthusiastic interest is still maintained by
our members, who are always willing and able to meet objections
levelled against Vegetarianism. The Secretary delivered addresses
to some I.O.G.T. Lodges in the locality, and he has been ably supported
by Messrs. Alex. Bell and W. G. Cameron. If there have been no outstanding
achievements to boast, there has been at least no retrogression
to report. At the same time we do not wish this to be understood
as an application of Lord Grey's memorable utterance, "Rest
and be thankful."
