Recipe by Paul Appleby, presented at the Club on 6 May 1998.
Mix flour and carob powder. Blend in margarine and dried fruit. (The addition of some grated organic orange peel is highly recommended.) Add water / apple juice and blend to a moist dough. Bake in a greased cake tin or baking tray, 30-40 minutes in a moderate oven (Gas Mark 4-5).
