Paul's Fruit Cake
Recipe by Paul Appleby, presented at the Club on 6 May 1998.
- 12 oz Wholemeal self-raising flour
- 1-2 tsp Mixed spice / Powdered ginger
- 3-4 oz Dried fruit (eg raisins, sultanas)
- 1 tbsp Molasses (optional)
- 2-3 oz Vegan margarine
- Water / apple juice to mix
Mix flour and spices. Blend in margarine, dried fruit and molasses
if used. Add water / juice and blend to a moist mixture. Bake in a
greased cake tin for 40 minutes in a moderate oven (Gas Mark 4-5).
