David Pye has been a vegetarian for over 30 years and spent 20 years as a research scientist, he is now self-employed as an IT consultant. He is currently completing an Masters degree in new media digital production at Liverpool John Moores University. Within the last few years David has set up two UK companies and taken them forward to become successful local charities with over 30 employees. David has been organiser of the very successful
'Wirral Green Fayre' an environmental event that regularly brought in 20,000 visitors. Having been a trustee since 1997 of the UK Vegetarian Society he was appointed chair in December 2003. David is a director and company secretary of two other environmental 'charitable' companies specialising in energy efficiency and organic gardening. He lives with his partner Christine in Wirral, England. His interests include, sailing, computers, world music and environmental issues.
