Congress Report:
There was the proposal by Mr. P.L. Pick (following a suggestion by M. As well as asking every religious order to lecture on the weekend before that day, praying for raising compassion in people to every living being.

Another proposal from Mr. P.L. Pick, representing Mr. Richard St. Barbe Baker, that the Congress made a call to every vegetarian society to use every kind of scientific and economic arguments on behalf of a more extensive, rational and natural development in world's agriculture, in order to increase the production of vegetable foods to the maximum and that these ones be healthier.

VEGETARIAN Essence in Comparative Religions was the subject of a working party headed by Philip Pick, President of the Jewish Vegetarian Society. Among their findings . . . "Vegetarian propaganda of a general nature, however efficient, appears to affect only that proportion of the population that is totally uncommitted; the remainder, in their traditional beliefs, consider that this must compromise all that is required of them in the way of ethics." Among their recommendations . . . a campaign directed to religious leaders, and research to be carried out to support the original doctrines embracing vegetarianism.
