The Northern Vegetarian Society

The Northern Vegetarian Society is located in the Sudbury Area of beautiful northern Ontario, Canada.

The Northern Vegetarian Society was started in May 1994. Its purpose is to help the people of the Sudbury Region adopt and maintain a healthy vegetarian lifestyle.

Membership is continually growing and attendance and interest in vegetarianism in the area have risen as well. The Society is run solely by volunteers.

The Northern Vegetarian Society is a member of the International Vegetarian Union. We define vegetarianism as the practice of not eating meat, poultry or fish or their by-products, with or without the use of eggs or dairy products.
