Events are first listed briefly in date order and then in more
detail by type. Use the links below to navigate quickly to the
month or event of interest. Please note that this page is updated
at regular intervals and that events may be subject to last
minute changes owing to circumstances beyond our control. If you
wish to check the details of a particular event please contact us. Unless otherwise
stated, Oxford Vegetarians events are open to everyone, although
we ask non-vegetarian guests to consume only foods suitable for
vegetarians at meals organised by the Dining Out Club and other
events.

We visit a variety of eating places in and around Oxford that
offer a good choice of dishes for vegetarians and vegans. Please

to book a seat or for further information. (Please note that this
is a vegetarian dining out group - all attendees
are expected to order a totally vegetarian meal.)

- Friday 6 June, 7.30pm. The Greek Taverna,
Summertown, Oxford.
We shall be running stalls at the following events (please contact us if you can help).

- Thursday 8 May, 10am-7pm. Animal Liberation
Project, Wesley Memorial Church
Hall, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford. A powerful exhibition
by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
which compels us to question our treatment of animals and
consider the parallels between human and animal
oppression. There will also be a talk by Alistair
Currie of PETA at 5.30pm at the same venue.
Admission is free and refreshments will be available. The
exhibition is hosted by Voice
for Ethical Research at Oxford. For more information

- Monday 19 to Sunday 25 May. National Vegetarian
Week. Organised by The Vegetarian Society. Full

- Saturday 24 May, 9am-2pm. Tasting for National
Vegetarian Week, Arujo Organics,
Hudson Street, Deddington, Oxon. Arujo Organics will be
hosting a tasting event and will be joined by Beanies
Health Foods (UK distributors of Fry's, Alicer &
B'Nice products). They will be preparing some of their
vegan sausages, burgers etc for customers to sample. The
will also be selling their vegan ice creams. We will also
be joined by some local food businesses. Coffee, tea
& cakes will be available. This event coincides with
the very popular Deddington Farmers Market.
- Saturday 31 May & Sunday 1 June, 11am-9pm. Bristol
Vegan Fayre, Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square,
Bristol. The world's largest vegan fayre with stalls,
