Masala Meusi

This is a delicious curry-like mixture from East Africa. It can be added to any savory East African dish for a burst of authentic flavor.

• 2 tablespoons cumin
• 1 teaspoon clove
• 2 teaspoons mace
• 1/2 tablespoon poppy seed
• 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
• 1 teaspoon coriander, ground
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 1-2 teaspoon ground peri-peri (scotch-bonnet chilies) (optional)

Combine.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
