Sweet and
Sour Sauce 2

- 1 8 oz. can pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. corn starch
- 2 T. cold water
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade or plum sauce or ketchup
Combine pineapple and juice, sugar, vinegar and soy sauce in a medium
saucepan and heat to boiling.
Mix together corn starch, water, stir into hot pineapple mixture.
Return to boiling and simmer 1 minute while stirring constantly.
Stir in the plum sauce and remove from heat.
Cover and refrigerate.
Serve warm or cold.
Makes 2 cups. |
