Grandma's Muesli

This really yummy cereal-like mix of nuts and grains is a great, super-healthy snack/dessert any time of day. (Sorry if anything here is unclear, I'm translating this from my grandma, who's Swedish).
6 3/4 cups
- 2 cups rye meal
- 2 cups oats
- 3 1/2 ounces chopped almonds
- 3/4 cup sunflower seed
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup flax seed
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons cooking oil
Mix the water with the oil.
Set the oven to 400°F.
Mix everything else in a baking pan, splash/spray water over everything.
Press with fingers so that the moisture is evenly dispersed.
Put in the oven for 20-30 minutes, taking it out 3 to 4 times to stir around. |
