I've been toying with a mixture that seems to work pretty well
and can easily be adjusted to suit your taste.
add about 2 oz water before you blend and add more as needed to
get the thick/thin-ness you want.
- 1 can garbonzos (drained & rinsed)
- 2 tbs tahini (I also make it with 1 tbs or none at all, tastes
- 2 oz lemon juice
- 2 tbs crushed/minced/chopped garlic
- couple (or many) dashes of:
- cayenne pepper
- black pepper
Fire it all in a blender for about 10 minutes
