Pasta Tomato Sauce

There it is...the tomato sauce to go along with pasta.
If you dont want it too hot, you can cut down on the red pepper.
- 2 tbls vegetable oil
- tomato puree (4 tomatoes mashed)
- 2 chopped onions
- 2-3 crushed garlics
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 2 tsp powdered red pepper
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- pinch of sugar
- 1 tbls chili sauce (available in market)
- 5 tbls tomato ketchup (available in market)
(boil the pasta in lot of water along with 10g salt
for about 10 mins,drain water and keep aside)
Take a pan and heat the margarine/oil.
add the onions & garlic and cook on light fire till brown.
now add the tomato puree and let it cook completely.
now add the salt and the red pepper and cook on high fire stirring
do the same for at least 5 mins.
Now add the oregano, lemon juice, sugar, chili sauce and ketchup.
stir well and let cook for 5 mins.
serve hot with boiled pasta.
If you what a fine (paste) sauce for spaghetti, you
can crush the onions too..
