this is a very easy cheap lentil soup recipe.
Boil l for a few minutes, the simmer (adding water if neccessary and
stirring frequently) until lentils become soft and mushy.
- 500g red lentils (dried)
- 800g chopped tomataoes (tinned)
- Olive oil (a dash) (optional)
- Madras or bombay curry powder
Be careful not to let the lentils stick and burn.
Add tinned tomatoes and simmer until mix thickens.
Add curry powder to taste and, optionally, a small dash of olve oil.
Simmer for a further 15 minutes.
serve with rice or rice noodles and pappads, or naan bread, or
