& Onion Salad

This is another tasty salad which is prepared using tomatoes and
These salads are easy to make and are delightful to eat.
Keep a medium-sized skillet on heat and put vegetable oil.
- 2 medium-sized ripe tomatoes - diced into small pieces
- 1 small onion - diced into small pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- small piece of grated ginger
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 small green chillies - minced
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 10 -12 cleaned and cut cilantro leaves
( this ingredient is used extensively in whatever I cook, because
I love it's taste and flavor. I think the only dishes I don't
use them are sweets and desserts)
When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds.
Since they sputter and pop, keep a lid handy.
Then add green chillies and grated ginger and fry for 2 minutes.
Now, add onions to it and fry until they are slightly brownish.
Remove from heat and keep aside.
In a serving bowl, put the diced tomatoes, salt, garam masala
and mix well.
Put the fried mixture and blend thoroughly.
Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve chilled.
