1 c. shredded cabbage
3-4 T. oil
1/2 t. mustard seeds
1/2 onion, chopped
1 t. garlic
1 T. dried red pepper, or to taste
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/4 t. turmeric
2 t. cumin
salt to taste
Heat oil, add mustard seeds and cover.
When seeds pop, add the onion, garlic, red pepper and coconut.
Brown for 5 minutes.
Add spices and cook for 2 minutes.
Add cabbage and salt, cook for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, serve with rice.
