Opening comments: this recipe is from Venezuela
2 to 3 portions , 35 minutes
- 1 cup of white rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 chopped carrot
- 1 chopped red pepper
- oil
- salt
- pepper
Fry about 1 cm of oil in a pan , when it's hot fry the onions for
2-3 minutes,
then add the peppers and at the end ad the carrots.
When all the vegetables are softer fry the rice in the same pan
for 2 minutes.
Then add the 2 cups of water.
When it boils , put it on low-high and cover until there is no
more water.
This rice is very good , you can ad any kind of vegetables that
you like (great with eggplant),
the red pepper and the carrots gives it a great color.
