"Cheese"
From: mnealon
dissolve 1/3 cup Emis veg gelatin into 2 1/4 cups boiled water
Combine & liquify in processor:
- 1 cup raw cashews (first powder them in a coffee grinder or
processor)
- 4 oz pimentos (for color--can substitute a carrot if you prefer)
- 3 tbsp Nutritional yeast flakes
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp onion or onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp paprika
- galic or garlic powder to taste
Lightly oil a round or square container to put it in (makes it easier
to get out later) & refrigerate.
To use for grating, freeze it. It will also melt very well if
heated.
for JACK "Cheese" variation:
simply omit pimento (or carrot), & double the lemon, yeast & garlic
