Pea Pod-Cucumber

Yield: 4 Servings
- 2 tb Oil
- 2 Cloves garlic; minced
- 1/4 c Soy sauce
- 1/4 c White vinegar
- 3 tb Sesame oil
- 2 tb Brown sugar
- 1 ds Liquid hot pepper sauce
- 6 oz Pkg frozen Chinese pea pod; - thawed and drained on paper
towels
- 2 md Cucumbers; peeled, halved, seeded and cut into 1/4 inch
sticks
- 1 sm Rib celery; julienned
Heat oil in small skillet; add garlic and cook, stirring, until garlic
is lightly browned.
Add soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, brown sugar and pepper sauce and
mix well.
Let cool.
One hour before serving, combine pea pods, cucumber sticks and celery
in large serving bowl.
Pour dressing over and toss thoroughly.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. |
