THURSDAY APRIL 10
VEGETARIAN DIPLOMACY - with VESANTO
MELINA
What
do you do when you hear the "so why did you become a vegan?" question
coming at you from someone who's polishing off a plate of Chicken McNuggets?
How do you cope with a vegetarian dish that's been considerately prepared
"just for you" but isn't actually vegetarian? Vegetarian diplomatic
challenges like these will be the subject of a lighthearted, personal chat
and Q&A by renowned vegan dietitian Vesanto Melina, M.S., R.D. Vesanto
will also be fielding questions on becoming vegetarian (the subject of
the new tenth anniversary edition of her classic book of the same name),
veg' nutrition for children, and veg' foods that prevent cancer. Listen,
ask, get an autographed book or two, eat and drink (order off the menu).
